Here are some answers to commonly asked questions:
When should I place my order?
Ideally you should order at least 2-3 weeks before your event as I do book up very quickly. Once you submit your order and make payment, I will place you on my calendar and will ship to you the week before your event.
How do you ship?
I ship worldwide via USPS Priority Mail (2-3 days shipping time within the U.S.) and generally ship items 4-7 days before your event date. For international customers, please be aware that customs may delay the delivery of your toppers and you will be responsible for any duty that needs to be paid.
What about hot summer weather?
During the hot summer months I do my best to get your toppers to you in perfect condition. I let everything dry thoroughly before shipping and use Priority Mail so that packages reach you quickly. I do recommend making sure someone is available to receive your package so that it doesn't sit on a hot porch or in your mailbox all afternoon. Fondant may soften in the heat but generally won't melt.
What if something breaks?
I do package things carefully but in the event that your item arrives with some damage, please contact me and I will work with you. In many cases, a small dab of water will glue back together any broken pieces. In the case of major damage, I can often get some replacements sent out right away. If there isn't enough time to send replacements then I will refund you for any unusable toppers.
For any international buyers, please be forewarned that my items are fragile and you accept the risk of having them shipped outside of the United States.
How long are fondant toppers good for?
The nice thing about fondant is that it has a lengthy shelf life (up to a year as stated by the manufacturer). I use a pre-manufactured fondant to make all my toppers.
How should I store the toppers?
Your toppers should be kept in an airtight container in a cool, dark place. Fondant should not be placed in the refrigerator or freezer as the condensation can make it sticky.
Are the toppers edible?
Yes, however, the fondant has to dry harder on the outside before shipping and so many people choose to use the toppers simply for decorative purposes.
ALLERGY ALERT: Some of the fondant I use contains chocolate and all my cake and cupcake toppers are made in a location that has contact with nuts, wheat, dairy products and chocolate. Please do not consume my products if you have allergies to any of the above products.
